Proef attended the kick-off meeting of the project "SARWS", a project funded by the Celtic-Next, cluster of the EUREKA program.
The kick-off meeting took place in Paris, on January 24 and 25, at IDEMIA’s HQ, a consortium partner and French multinational specialized in security and identity solutions.
The SARWS project is constituted by 15 well-known companies from 5 countries: France, Portugal, Belgium, South Korea and Romania. The three-year project aims to provide real-time meteorological services that ensure more scalable, robust, secure and energy-efficient mobility and transport.
In this first plenary meeting, the leaders and deputies for each Work Package were defined, the most pressing actions points determined and the next consortium meetings were scheduled.
Associated with the SARWS, there is another Portuguese project named TRUST, funded by Portugal 2020, which proposes to develop a monitoring system for transport and highways to provide real-time information services. The TRUST consortium is composed by Proef Portugal, the Telecommunications Institute (IT) and Microio. The project was highlighted last January at Compete 2020 website.
