Proef was one of the companies that participated in the "Portuguese Industry Visit to CERN” initiative, at ANI's invitation.
On September 3 and 4, CERN - European Organization for Nuclear Research hosted in Geneva a Portuguese delegation aiming to bring closer companies and institutions closer to the physics laboratory and to increase the financial return of the Portuguese participation in the largest research center of Europe.
This initiative, promoted by ANI - National Innovation Agency, was coordinated with the visit of the Minister of Science, Technology and Higher Education, Professor Manuel Heitor, who was accompanied by the Secretary of State for Internationalisation, Professor Eurico Brilhante Dias.
The Portuguese delegation was composed of the agencies FCT, IAPMEI and AICEP, as well as universities and polytechnics, a delegation of 17 companies (which Proef was included), 5 Interface Centers (CITs) and 2 Collaborative Laboratories. On behalf of Proef were CEO Europe, Luís Andrade and Commercial Director Europe, Eduardo Marto, who were pleased to established contact with various areas of CERN such as civil works services, Energy, Technology, Procurement among others…
This was also a moment for networking and the identification of business opportunities at CERN, with the potential for the creation of new partnerships and consortia with other Portuguese and / or European Union companies.
